ROBERTA DELGADO

 
  I was born in Chihuahua, Mexico and later on my family moved to El Paso, Texas.  I had a love for art early on.  In high school I apprenticed several years with El Paso artist, Raymond López-Aleman at the Southwest Culture Center where I learned his approach to oil painting.   
    After I married, I moved to Maine and continued to paint and gave painting lessons to elderly neighbors.  I love art because it's gives one a chance to express oneself.  I moved to NM in 1994 where I graduated from UNM with my master's degree in Archetypal Art Therapy and a second master's in Art Education.  I have been a member of Rainbow Artists off and on for 20+ years.  I live in Albuquerque and have one daughter Dr. Mikel Delgado of Sacramento, California.
   At this point in my life, I am still experimenting with different techniques, materials and subjects.  I find the search exciting and most times rewarding...
