CAROL ADAMEC
Carol first moved to Albuquerque in 1994 and over the past 15 years has traveled
back and forth between two diverse environments: The high desert of New Mexico,
painting the landscape of the Southwest; and the lush flora of Central Florida, which
piqued her interest in painting flowers.
Recently Carol turned to the Japanese kimono as a vehicle for exploring color and
patterning. These paintings merge her interests in flowers and kimonos into a single
pursuit of color, form, and beauty.
A native Chicagoan, Carol earned her BFA in painting from the Art Institute of
Chicago in 1976. Carol lives in Albuquerque and maintains a painting studio at the
Harwood Art Center. She is represented by the Weyrich Gallery in Albuquerque and
LRoss Gallery in Memphis, TN.
