Although I have two expensive degrees in fine art from recognized American institutions (plus European study) and staggering student loans, I have been obstinate in my quest to create.
I embrace the work of self-taught, primitive, folk, prison, dada, outsider, arte povera, and multi-media rather than academic formalism. Not to say that this formalism isn’t important in artwork, just that it does not rule.
My art is Americana, spiritual poetry, music for the wall, and serious comedy. I laugh more as I age so enjoy my creations and laugh along with me.
