Carol Adamec revisits her Japanese Garden theme at Weyrich Gallery, opening Friday, May 3 from 5-8:30 pm. April showers bring May flowers…” and kimonos and garden views to the Weyrich Gallery with In a Japanese Garden, Revisted. In this exhibit of new work, Adamec once again presents a body of work featuring various configurations of kimonos and paintings of flowers to create the ambience of a Japanese garden. The exhibit continues through May 31 and can be viewed Tues–Fri, 10:30am-5:30pm, and Sat 11am-5:30pm. Carol will also be present for the Saturday, May 18, Meet and Greet at the gallery from 1-3pm and will give a short Artist’s Talk at 1:30.
Marian Berg will be assisting Michelle Chrisman in teaching a plein air painting workshop at Ghost Ranch from April 22 to April 28. She is also getting ready for a show at O'Niell's on Juan Tabo in June.

Leslie Kryder opens her first solo show at Napoli Coffee—Rocks, Stones, Standing Stones. May 1 through June 15, Reception May 11, 10:30 am – 12:30 pm. This series is inspired by the beauty and color of rocks. Working in oils and several kinds of paper. She created partially abstracted explorations of color, texture, and form suggested by stones and stone formations, which she encountered during hikes in New Mexico and a recent trip to Scotland.
Caroline LeBlanc, Ginger Quinn and Nova Denise have pieces in the Mosaic New Mexico show at the Open Space Gallery, Albuquerque through May 12.
Eliza Schmid is in a two person show at the Albuquerque Little Theater on San Pasquale SW. from mid April to the end of May.

Janine Wilson has a painting in the 50th New Mexico Watercolor spring exhibition in the Fine Arts Building at Expo New Mexico. The show runs from May 4-26 with the opening reception on Saturday, May 4 from 1-4. She also has three encaustic paintings in the Small Works show at The Gallery ABQ through May 24.
