The child of two political refugees from Spain, Ines was born in Cuba and lived all her summers in Mexico City where she studied art and theatre and visited archeological sites. At the age of 15 she came alone to the US and continued her studies. After eight years of living alone she was reunited with her mother, who had been a political prisoner for those eight years, and with her father. Ines has lived in Washington D.C., Chicago, Miami, Orlando, Seattle, Madrid, Mexico City and has traveled extensively. She presently lives in Brasher Falls, NY. Her paintings and sculptures reflect her life's journey. It is impossible to label her art style; she takes you on a journey to the other side of the distance and, in the process, the viewer discovers a new sensuality amid the archetypal experiences.
