"I bring to my art the sum total of all that I experienced, growing up on the border of Mexico in El Paso, Texas. This is particularly evident in the bright colors and movement in my paintings. Also, the varied subjects and moods of my work reflect the many cultural experiences I have had, living both here and abroad. We are an extension of what has gone before. By enjoying the sights, sounds, smells and tastes of as many cultures as we can, life is greatly enhanced and brings us closer to an understanding of our relationship one to another and to the world."
