On the trail of material for a new painting ... my search may take me to a remote village, an abandoned church, a junk yard, or a mountain top.  Crosses are a familiar theme - not only on churches but where they stand sentinal throughout New Mexico on the hillsides and by the road.  I call my most recent paintings "lightscapes" - experiments in color and light - my attempt to capture some of New Mexico's timeless energy.
