Mary DuBois, formerly Mary Brandvold, was born in Woodland California and began painting seascapes in oil while residing in Mendocino. She was one of the youngest artists to be included in the book, Artists USA 77-78. She is mainly self taught. Mary Dubois is currently showing in two galleries, The Gathering of Dreams in Old Town and Off center, Downtown Albuquerque. She has expanded to include many beaded art pieces, watercolors and pottery. She tells us "My artwork reflects and expresses what I see around me, such as the awesome gifts of beauty from our creator ,and concern for our environment and ourselves. It is all such a trip into inner and outer reality."
