Shari Adkisson
Featured Artist Mar-Apr 2003 & Nov-Dec 2006

Shari Adkisson is a refugee from Houston, Texas and has found New Mexico to be a wonderful place to live and work. "I was always the "artsy" one in my family, and studied art in high school and at NMSU. I always did art as a hobby and, as an empty nester, I re-discovered quilting. Since giving up my studio/gallery/workshop (The Creativity Continium) I still continue to work in my favorite medium, fabric but I have had to scale down the scope of my work. I also produce altered books, mixed media collage and am currently exploring encaustics. I record my creative journey on my blog, http://nmcreatrix.blogspot.com/. Check it out for random musings, the occasional link to a very cool site that I have discovered, and my latest creations
